Hi, I’m Katja, a multi-passionate solopreneur with nearly 30 years of business experience. I’m also a writer, online business expert and the creator of Business on Purpose, a thriving community for creators and writers who want to turn their passion into profit.
But it wasn’t always this way.
Before meeting my husband 30 years ago, I was an employee working hard to give my best to my employer. When we started building businesses together, I thought running a business was just about working hard and delivering value.
It didn’t take long to realize there was so much more to it. My husband, who had already built several businesses, taught me the ropes—sometimes in tough ways. I don’t judge him for it, though, because leading a business isn’t easy. It’s not like being an employee; it’s a whole different mindset.
That doesn’t mean it’s not fun. In fact, once I understood how a business works and adopted a business mindset, it opened up a world of freedom and opportunity.
Over nearly three decades, I’ve learned countless lessons—some hard, some transformative—and yes, there were heated discussions along the way. But I wouldn’t change a thing.
Those experiences shaped who I am today, and I’m incredibly grateful for them.
Now, I want to share what I’ve learned with you.

In 2018, at 41 years old, I started my first blog. Six months later, I earned my first $100 online. That moment showed me the incredible potential of online businesses. While I haven’t hit six figures yet, the journey has been life-changing. Earning that first dollar was one of the hardest—and most rewarding—milestones.
What I’ve learned is this: it’s never too late to start something new. You don’t need fancy degrees or professional qualifications to succeed. If I could build my online business from scratch, so can you!
